Girl group The Saturdays attended RAF Northolt this week to launch the charity uk4u Thanks! 2009 Christmas Box campaign. The initiative pledges to send 23,000 festive parcels out to Armed Forces personnel serving abroad over Christmas, in locations such as Afghanistan, the Falklands, and ships and submarines worldwide. The public are urged to donate to the cause instead of sending unsolicited parcels which could add to the pressure on the British Forces Post Office system.
